About me and this blog

About me: I am an Associate Professor of Population Biology at the University of Calgary. I study the origins, maintenance and loss of biodiversity, with an ever-growing interest in the effects of non-native species on native species/communities. I like fish, insects and plants (not necessarily in that order). You can find me here.

About this blog: Not expecting a unifying theme just yet, but I’ve set this up as a place to expand on thoughts arising from tweets. Communicating in 140 character sound bytes can be fun, but it’s insufficient at times.
